About Us

Overview

bbi began by supplying plywood to the packaging industry but quickly realised there was an opportunity to expand the range. bbi now supplies product for a range of civil and commercial projects, from ply for acoustic dampening on a major roading development to appearance grade product to meet architects’ specifications for interior finishing. We distribute nationwide through building supply stores for the building industry, and we supply large industrial users such as the packaging industry directly.

In order to manage the considerable growth we’ve experienced over the last few years, we’ve employed the best people from within the building supplies industry, on both the retail and wholesale side, and now have over 100 years of combined experience within our team.

We have a wealth of knowledge and experience and offer tailored solutions to the needs of the project.

Rowe McGregor

General Manager

Rowe looks after the purchasing of our product range, business marketing and oversees our sales team. Rowe has worked in the building supplies industry all his life, with a wealth of knowledge in the timber industry.

Martin Wallace

Sales and Marketing Manager

Martin looks after our Sales and Marketing department as well as our South Auckland and Central North Island customers. Martin has a background in sales, marketing, and branch management.

Mario Kearney

Operations Manager

Mario looks after our daily Operations. Mario has an extensive background in management of large businesses and teams and brings a strong customer focus to our Operations Team.

Felice Pacelli

South Island Sales Manager

Felice looks after our sales in the South Island. Flea, as most people know him, has been in the industry all of his working life. He has worked in both the retail and wholesale sectors of the industry so has a great understanding of the market.

Tyla O’Leary

Account Manager

Tyla is our Central and Lower North Island Account Manager as well as heading up the Customer Service Team. You could say Tyla has selling building products in the genes and is putting her heritage to good use.

George Cranswick

South Island Branch Manager

George looks after the South Island daily operations and also the Account Manager for the West Coast and South Canterbury. George grew up in Hawkes Bay and studied in Christchurch and is an avid hunter and fisherman.
